Dutch Ministry of Defence added 81 machines to their winter fleet to meet its statutory requirements to keep the Leeuwarden, Volkel, Eindhoven, Gilze-Rijen, Woensdrecht and De Kooy Air Force fields in the Netherlands accessible and safe during winter.

London Luton Airport (LLA) has added a self-propelled snow-cutter blower and a highly versatile implement carrier to its fleet. Being well prepared and ready for every eventuality, was the missing piece to the puzzle which is now completed to ensure effective and efficient summer and winter maintenance on the airport. Here’s more about the rationale.

The state of Tyrol is responsible for a total of 2,236 km of road network, with the state roads lying at 470 to over 2,000 metres above sea level. The state authorities have been utilising salt and brine for their winter services since 2017. To do this, they use a Schmidt Stratos Combi Soliq Flex, a combined machine that spreads or sprays with abrasive agents, dry salt or wet salt containing the required proportion of brine. They have recently started using ‘the spreader’ in summer as well.
