The two of them did their first jobs together at the vocational school, so finding a partner at the VA was quickly done. Their project: a 44-drive motor mower that doesn't slip so quickly in steep, stony pastures.

But first one after the other. As a basic machine, the two from Emmental bought a used Aebi-CC 66 motor mower. Several Aebi machines are already in use at Zürcher's facility in Eggiwil BE. The first setback came with the basic machine. "We first had to overhaul the engine before we could do the first real test run," explains Stucki.
Then it was the turn of the four-wheel drive. With a self-designed bogie chassis, the mower now has four driven wheels. Bogie chassis are installed on forest vehicles, for example, for optimum traction. Inside the chassis, the two axles are positively connected with a chain, so the converted CC 66 runs with permanent all-wheel drive. This should prevent the mower from slipping when it hits a stone on a steep slope.
