Dans l'atelier d'assemblage de Tiefenhäusern, non loin de notre usine de St. Blasien, en Allemagne, nos spécialistes travaillent avec beaucoup de pression et de précision sur deux fraises à neige très performantes destinées à la société nationale des chemins de fer norvégiens Bane NOR. Chacune de ces machines pèse plus de 80 tonnes et génère plus de 2 000 chevaux. Nous avons récemment eu l'honneur d'accueillir l'équipe de projet norvégienne et de l'accompagner avec notre caméra.

Dans le cadre du programme de conférences organisé par EUnited à la foire IFAT de cette année à Munich, Aebi Schmidt a expliqué au public intéressé quelles approches peuvent être utilisées pour atteindre les objectifs ambitieux en matière d'émissions fixés dans de nombreux endroits, à la fois de manière plus efficace et plus durable. Les deux présentations avaient en commun une conclusion peut-être étonnante : une approche intégrée est non seulement plus efficace, mais aussi moins chère !

It probably has the shortest journey from the production line to its new place of work: a new Schmidt Swingo 200+ compact sweeper that is now being used by St. Blasien Town Council to keep the streets clean. There are just a few hundred metres between Schmidt’s factory site and the council depot in St. Blasien. For the ceremonial handover, sales area manager Jörn Kaiser and factory manager Thomas Berger welcomed the local council and mayor Rainer Fritz along with representatives from the council depot, as well as Thomas Winter from Knoblauch GmbH, Schmidt general representative from Immendingen.

AWISTA fait partie d'un groupe d'entreprises qui fournit des services de nettoyage et d'élimination des déchets municipaux et commerciaux à partir d'une source unique à Düsseldorf et dans les environs. Nous nous sommes entretenus avec Udo Meyer, directeur des opérations chez AWISTA, pour savoir comment IntelliOPS l'aide dans ses opérations quotidiennes de maintenance hivernale. Mercredi dernier, sur l'aire de trafic de Stuttgart, le groupe Aebi Schmidt et Stuttgart Airport GmbH ont présenté à quoi pourrait ressembler l'avenir du Service Hivernal avec des véhicules et des équipements autonomes. Le système testé à l'aéroport de Stuttgart est pour la première fois entièrement intégré.

Have&Landskab in Slagelse (DK), Scandinavia’s largest garden and landscape fair, took place from August 25 to 17, 2021 and attracted around 10,220 visitors despite the pandemic-related circumstances. The fair is aimed at professionals in the design, construction and maintenance of streets, parks and other green spaces. Jesper Buch, Manager Sales & Service Aebi Schmidt Denmark, reports on his experience at the fair.

Today marks the grand opening of new and expanded manufacturing and production facilities, as well as Aebi Schmidt Group’s North American corporate offices. Less than one year following the groundbreaking on the 86,500 sq. ft. buildout, the expanded facility will now support enhanced process innovation for existing and new product lines, as well as provide opportunities for more jobs in and around the Chilton area. Aebi Schmidt currently achieves 25% of its turnover in North America and has a clear ambition for further growth.

In the past weeks, the daily business continued in many cities, communities and also at airports, even under difficult conditions. In some places, Swingo, eSwingo, Cleango, SK 660 and TJS are ensuring that everyday tasks can now be performed even more efficiently. Here are four examples and one report on a special mission.

Aebi Schmidt invited over 200 airport professionals from 38 countries to an experience day on Tuesday, 8 October. The focus was on presentations and discussions on the topics of «autonomous driving» and how operation processes can be made more efficient with the help of Data Management Solutions. A live survey among the participating experts also yielded surprising results.

Zermatt – the mountain community lies at an altitude of 1,600 metres, at the foot of the imposing Matterhorn, one of the most famous landmarks in Switzerland. Steep slopes, mountainous landscapes and lots of snow in winter make this town a paradise for skiers, hikers and day-trippers. Anyone who farms in this area needs a strong, robust transporter that they can rely on all year round.

COMPACT DESIGN COMBINED WITH MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE When the fire service is called, every second counts. However, large emergency vehicles often reach their limits particularly in tight little alleyways in old towns or on rough terrain in mountainous regions. These limits can sometimes be life-threatening if emergency workers and equipment cannot get to the scene of an incident quickly enough. By contrast, the 1.70-metre-wide narrow-track transporters Aebi MT750/MT740 (1.60 metre on the Aebi MT720) can maneuver with ease even in narrow little alleys and, with a fire-fighting attachment, it offers the full range of functions of larger emergency vehicles. With 115 kW (156 hp) and a VM turbo diesel engine (Euro 6) with six cylinders, the top-of-the-range model delivers plenty of power on the road. With all-wheel drive including a gear reduction ratio and locking differential, the Aebi MT is also an ideal off-road companion. An ergonomically designed 3-seater or 2-seater cabin provides a very pleasant and comfortable drive.

AEBI TT280 WITH OVERHEAD WINCH AND CRAWLER TRACKS SUPPORTING SLOPE PREPARATION IN ADELBODEN 77 seconds – this is the best time with which Marcel Hirscher won the men’s FIS Ski World Cup last year in Adelboden, Switzerland. 77 seconds for 1290 meters, which have to be mastered twice and error-free in order to complete the competition. The best overall standing wins. The giant slalom in Adelboden at „Chuenisbärgli“ is known as one of the most difficult in the world. The challenging downhill slope with a maximum inclination of 60% is quite an affair and especially the steep finishing slope demands a lot from the athletes. While for the winter sportsmen a few seconds determine victory or defeat, the World cup requires months of preparation for the team of the racing director Hans Pieren. Especially in the last few days before the race every helping hand – or machine – counts. Aebi supports the organisation committee with an Aebi TT280 with crawler track and overhead winch, as well as an Aebi VT450 Vario Transporter.
