Even during normal operation, the team in our logistics centre in Hannover-Laatzen always makes the impossible possible. In addition to regular orders, there are regularly situations that require special measures. The current restrictions are challenging for the well-coordinated team, but no obstacle to continue to process and deliver your orders. Orders via the usual channels, including the web shop, are still possible without any restrictions.
In the recent weeks, additional equipment has been provided so that the hygiene measures can be implemented effectively. The cleaning cycles have been increased and the use of disinfectants has been intensified. To minimize the frequency of contact, a separation of the workforce was implemented. Currently, our colleagues work in two shifts that do not cross each other. The shared facilities and meeting places in the building are closed until further notice, and the breaks have been reorganised accordingly. Special processes apply when dealing with third parties, particularly in the case of delivery and forwarding.
The Logistics Centre stocks around 100,000 parts in an area of over 5,000 sqm. Every day, including weekends and public holidays, 30 employees ensure that orders are generally delivered to the forwarding partner within 24 hours. At present, due to delays in upstream and downstream logistics, especially in transport, delays in the delivery of orders cannot be completely ruled out.
